OK maybe I’m being a little too dramatic but this is what most people had on their minds this weekend. Scheduled power cuts have become a reality in Kuwait and this is the worst time of the year to be stuck at home with no air conditioning! Some of our friends spent the entire two days outside, at the mall, at church, at the movies, or just about any place that had power!
I hope in the coming weeks the situation improves as many families will leave on summer vacation and this might decrease the load on the power stations otherwise we’re in for a long hot summer

I saw r comment in the Discussion Forum.As somebody who has been living thru this nightmare for the past 3 days,i must say it was very thoughtless on ur part to say that overcrowding in Abbasiya is the reason for the power cuts.Anybody with even a little common sense can see what is happening.So,please next time,try to empathize with ur people atleast a tiny bit before becoming all judgemental about them.Thank you.

I’m afraid you’re not in touch with reality my friend, Abbassiya is one of the most densely populated areas in Kuwait with many apartments housing more than 1 family and sometimes more than that.
Situations like this are inevitable if the authorities don’t do something about it. I empathize with you and I hope you get your power supply back soon.
