This weekend a friend of mine and I headed out to Doha peninsula to try our luck shooting some of the abandoned boats in that area. Once again we were foiled by less than perfect weather and to overcome this setback I ended up modifying whatever pictures looked acceptable. Its easy to blame the weather for bad photographs
If you’re interested in going there its best to check out the place at sunset, we went there at dawn and there wasn’t anything special. Here’s the GPS coordinates to the area.
N 29.387335

The Toy Room

Wow..you must have gone there REALLY REALLY early to catch the sunrise. Did you get any sleep the previous night?
Strangely enough, I ended up there the same evening.

yup! I woke up at 2.30, made some STRONG coffee and headed out by 3.45 AM. I slept early the previous night
Now that is real passion for photography. I am trying to remember when is the last time I saw sun rising. Sadly enough, I cannot recollect.
You call it real passion, my friend (whom I woke up at 3:00 AM for this shoot) would call it a real pain in the ass
Great photos! The one in sepia looks like remnants of noah’s ark
AWESOME!!
Gr8 shots!
whoa! I thought my gps is goin’ nuts. Hey dude, you are directing me to Saudi Arabia…lol..
I dont think so, I believe I used the same coordinates as given to me by my friend and the navigator led me correctly all the way to the peninsula.
Oh wait , I typed it wrong, my bad
