I got this with today’s newspaper. A coupon for 50 paintballs at the paintball park near Kuwait Towers. I’ve never been there although most of my friends have. Guess I’m not brave enough to endure being shot with a hard round object and knowing my friends, I’d surely be hit repeatedly in my ‘man parts’

The other day my friend SP and I went to check out the new Tamiya showroom in Tilal complex in Shuwaikh. The store was much bigger than I expected and they know what they’re selling. I spoke to one of the mechanics/assistants over there about the range of products and accessories and it blew my mind !
I wanted a narrow plastic cutter and some Tamiya flat top coat but they didnt have the cutter I was looking for. There will be another shipment coming later this month and I might get it then. If you like to get your hands dirty or like building stuff then I recommend you check out ‘My Toy’ store. Its on the first floor of Tilal Complex in Shuwaikh. Just take a right turn after the Hyundai dealership.

My friends and I recently went to the shooting club off the 6th RIng road. Its called Mayadeen or NRC. You’ll find a lot of signs on the 6th Ring Road pointing to the Hunting and Equestrian club so its hard to miss it.
Since it was my first time with live firearms I selected a 9mm Handgun while my power hungry buddies chose 44 caliber pistols..OUCH!!! I’ve been on hunting trips armed with a high powered air rifle but this is a totally different experience.
The 9mm handgun will cost you 6 KD for 20 rounds while the bigger guns will be around 7 to 8 KD for 20 rounds. Its addictive and I’ll be going again soon.

One of our old hangouts received a makeover recently and now its much more brighter, neater than before plus they’ve changed ALL the equipment. The only downside is that now they’ve doubled the rates from before.
Earlier a game of bowling was 750 fils per person, now its KD 1.500 ! Well atleast now the bowling shoes are brand new and dont have holes in them. 
Club 300 is next to Dawat restaurant in Bneid Al Gar.
This is probably the best remedy for the humidity in Kuwait right now..well ok honestly THE BEST remedy would be a chilled bottle of Kingfisher beer but this is kinda the second best option. Take a jump in the pool !
My friend J.M and I headed off to the indoor pool at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan for a long leisurely swim but in one hour we were both bushed! but at least we got some relief from this damn humidity.

I did it !! I completed NBK’s 15th annual walkathon, a total distance of 8 Km in a little over an Hour.
We met at a common friend’s place before flag off and downed a big glass of Banana Chocolate smoothie before we headed off to Scientific center.
Each age category was given a different color and flag off at different time intervals. Our group started the race at 1530 hours. The first 4 kilometers went by without a hitch but by the 5th Km marking I started to feel a little tired but I carried on and by the 6th Km post I was back in the game and before I knew it I reached the last Km mark ! The last Km went by quickly and I reached Green Island within the top 200.
Yeah my feet are kinda sore right now as I write this post but boy it sure feels good !!
Ps. As usual there were a lot of morons out there on Gulf street showing off in their cars and weaving in between traffic. Although this is normal on Gulf street during the weekend, today was particularly dangerous as the participants of the race had to use parts of the road where the sidewalk wasnt enough.
I registered for the event over the weekend. They have a tent setup near Scientific center in Salmiya and I think there’s one at the Avenues Mall. Its a pretty quick procedure.
You give them your civil ID. They check your Blood pressure and fill out the registration form. Then they give you your jersey number, NBK cap and a pamphlet about the event.
The walkathon starts at the Scientific center and ends at Green Island. Be at the starting point by 1430 hours. At last count more than 5000 people have registered for the walkathon this year !!

Its been a while since I’ve gone bowling,a really really long while! So naturally I wasnt expecting to bowl a perfect game when I went out this weekend with a few of my buddies. The less said about the first game the better. My balls(bowling balls that is 
) were in the gutter so often I think they were too embarassed to come back out through the ball dispenser.
I swear one of those balls, the orange 10 pound Brunswick was mocking me with his hollow little eyes and round mouth !
By the second game I was back in the game and managed a couple of strikes, although my total score was nothing to write home about. But hey its just a game right ? “It doesnt matter if you win or lose”, Isnt that what the losers say ?
Well I gotta go now and disinfect my feet after wearing those stinky bowling shoes !
After all that gaming yesterday I needed to get some sun and fresh air !
I was walking by a toy shop today when I thought I’d check out some scale models or action figures. The action figures didnt impress me, coz nowadays my focus is on detailed figures like Gundam or Transformers. I ended up walking out of there with a Ducati 999s model by Maisto. When I got back home I set up a black backdrop and took some glamour shots of my new Duc 999s
