I’ve moved
This is a new segment I thought I’d share with you guys, all throughout this summer I’m going to regularly post about the drinks to beat the heat. The first drink in this segment is a new flavor from Tang. Its been a while since I’ve had any powdered drinks but my mom asked me to try it out. Its pretty good, not too sweet, which is the way I prefer it and its not at all spicy even though it has pepper in the list of ingredients.

I read this article in the Friday Times edition this weekend and guess which place holds the #1 spot? 
Kuwait is such a small place and I’m sure the civic authorities can do something about it if they apply their resources.

1:12 Katana Custom wip
This is a kit that I recently bought from My toy co.
Its a 1:12 scale model made by Tamiya and cost 6.500 KD. Parts are not snap fit as other simpler kits and require cement and paint to complete the kit.

Who’s on board?
Have you seen these yellow little stickers on car windows ? I’ve heard from some people that its placed “so that drivers in the other car will know theres a baby on board and will drive carefully”
Well imagine this scenario; 5th Ring Road on a Thursday evening; crazy, horny teenager tearing down the freeway at 150Kmph in a Toyota Pickup with no clue on where hes going. What will this sign do for the baby inside the car that’s about to be smashed to bits by aforementioned goon ? NOTHING!!
How bout this one ?
Will the cuteness of the baby increase the awareness of the drivers in other cars ? Wait a minute…what if the baby is ugly? does it deserve a head-on collision?
Er…if you see this one I guess you should be calling the cops or planning a rescue mission!
I like this one, at least its useful for drivers in neighboring cars!

say hello to my little friend
I’m not talking about the SD Gundam RX-78, its my latest lens; Nikon AF 50mm 1.8D. This lens was highly recommended by a lot of people, so I finally I got it!
Its a prime lens, so no zooming. You will have to do some moving around to compose your shot. Since I have a D60 body I wont have the luxury of auto-focus but I don’t mind since the D-60 has a range finder option that helps you get the object in focus
Pros;
. f 1.8 Aperture !! perfect for low light and shallow ‘dof’
. metal mount
. light and easy to handle
. focus ring is easy to operate and filter doesn’t rotate when you focus
. THE CHEAPEST LENS IN THE MARKET!
Cons;
. AF works only on bodies like D80, D90, D300 etc
. well…there aren’t other cons I can think of at the moment
