There really isn’t much to say; dough, sauce, toppings, cheese… BAM!! Pizza!
We spent most of our weekend hunting for furniture and finally found a couple of pieces that we liked and they should be delivered and installed later this week. It can be frustrating getting stuff thats either compatible with the rest of the things in the room or in the design that we’re looking for. Dajeej area in Farwaniya is one area where you can get lost among the endless rows of shops offering everything from flooring to upholstery to complete room sets. I’m glad this nightmare is over…for now
This weekend a friend of mine and I headed out to Doha peninsula to try our luck shooting some of the abandoned boats in that area. Once again we were foiled by less than perfect weather and to overcome this setback I ended up modifying whatever pictures looked acceptable. Its easy to blame the weather for bad photographs
If you’re interested in going there its best to check out the place at sunset, we went there at dawn and there wasn’t anything special. Here’s the GPS coordinates to the area.
Weekend shopping followed by a pizza from Sultan Center in Dajeej. We got the Large mixed toppings option and its only 2 KD.
The taste kinda reminds me of Pizza Italia or homemade pizza.

A bunch of us got together a couple of weeks ago to play this game on a Friday morning and now its become kind of a weekly ritual. The game of 28, ഇരുപത്തെട്ടു and its variant called 56, അമ്പതാര് are very popular in the state of Kerala and people take it quite seriously, often employing complex algorithms and enough logic to beat a supercomputer, just to find out how many cards the other guy is holding.

I need to chill out this weekend and then get into the mood to hit the books. Its been so long since I’ve studied for an exam and now I seem to be lacking the patience to go thru an entire chapter without my mind straying onto totally unrelated subjects. Lets hope BB King has the answer to my problems. Have a nice weekend
This weekend we were lucky enough to have clear skies and a not-too-hot evening temperature (by that I mean anything below 40 degrees C) I had a nice long walk and found myself on one of the pedestrian bridges overlooking the 6th Ring Road. I hope you enjoy these pictures.
Over the past 4 or 5 months I’ve been religiously counting my daily calorie intake in an effort to lead a healthy lifestyle. I’m not a long distance runner but one of my influences in shaping my daily work out routine and diet has been Cajie’s new fitness blog and his wealth of advice on fitness and nutrition.

5 days a week my breakfast is Quaker Old Fashioned Oats cooked in approximately 200 ml of Al Marai Vetal Milk, combined with some chopped fruits. This provides approximately 500 calories and is one of my most important meals of the day. On other days I have a combination of Protein and Carbohydrates like eggs and whole wheat or multi-grain toast with a helping of milk. But this weekend I said to myself “aw fuckit” and made myself a sumptuous proper fry-up breakfast. This is what I had; 2 eggs, 3 slices of beef luncheon, 2 slices of tomato, 1 hash brown, a side of Tabouleh and a glass of freshly squeezed Orange juice. Luckily for me this seemingly decadent breakfast was only around 500 calories when I checked it against my calorie counter.

OK maybe I’m being a little too dramatic but this is what most people had on their minds this weekend. Scheduled power cuts have become a reality in Kuwait and this is the worst time of the year to be stuck at home with no air conditioning! Some of our friends spent the entire two days outside, at the mall, at church, at the movies, or just about any place that had power!
I hope in the coming weeks the situation improves as many families will leave on summer vacation and this might decrease the load on the power stations otherwise we’re in for a long hot summer
I not a very pessimistic guy but this just sucks!
